Beach house design is all about light and color. We love designing beach homes with light, muted color palette and lots of texture only accented with brighter colors. Blue, aqua and turquoise all come to mind when thinking about a beach house accent colors.

Beach House Finishes and Fixtures

The walls are painted in Olga’s favorite Benjamin Moore “super white” to create a clean and crisp background for muted furnishings and colorful art. Choosing the right paint finish is key – we prefer “matte” finish for walls and ceilings.

Beautiful wood look plank porcelain tile runs through out the first floor of the house creating visual flow. It’s also a hard working material designed to withstand sandy feet and muddy paws – great looking and easy to clean.

White shaker kitchen cabinets are a beach house classic. Together with white quartz countertops they create a perfect background for a striking bright turquoise backsplash by Sonoma Tilemakers, while striking seagrass pendant evokes a beach palapa and completes this dreamy beach house look for an everyday vacation look.

White sofa might seem like not a good idea but this great piece is super comfortable and even though it doesn’t look it, it’s slipcovered for easy, worry free upkeep.

Ocean Ridge Beach House Design

Surf board-shaped coffee table sets the tone in the living room for our client who happens to be a surfer. Comfortable arm chairs are perfect for watching TV and hanging out with friends, although it’s the island stools that get the most action as family and guests hang out in the kitchen.
