When her clients purchased this new construction estate home at the prestigious St. Andrew’s Country Club in Boca Raton, Olga Adler was given just a few months to transform the empty space into a warm and functional family home. She was tasked with combining some of her clients’ existing possessions from another Boca Raton resort home with new purchases and custom creations, to create space that feels both familiar and exciting.

Known for her use of striking light fixtures and original artwork, Adler designed custom clean-lined furniture and used mostly solid neutral textiles to allow the colorful art and dramatic lighting do most of the talking. To accommodate adults as well as kids and pets, Adler chose performance fabrics and natural wool and silk rugs for a luxurious but casual and worry-free Boca Raton lifestyle.

The living room is formal but inviting thanks to the ample light, beautiful view and super comfortable furniture. Adler used her client’s beautiful art collection to set the tone to an otherwise color neutral space. In the living room, the large custom sofa covered in grey linen, dramatically patterned chairs chairs and 2 twin ottomans can easily seat eight. The colorful art stands out against the neutral palette of white walls and light gray polished marble floors. An oversized console table houses an impressive and eclectic collection of decorative objects found over the years, while the wall of windows overlooks the beautiful patio and grounds.

But the main attention grabber is the organic, multi tiered chandelier hanging from the soaring ceiling. “A great light fixture can make a room, set the tone and transform a space. In addition to original art and luxurious fabrics, dramatic lighting is definitely my go-to tool” – says Adler.

The space feels both luxurious and organic – a perfect mix for a modern Boca Raton living room.
